OFFICE PROCEDURES
The Office will open at 9.00am on Saturday and again at 6.30am Sunday
You must not crowd around the office, line up and wait, respecting the 1.5M social distancing rules
VETTING
Saturday rides will commence vetting at 10.00am
Sunday rides will be between 1.00pm and 5.00pm on Saturday
We will be using standard AERA vetting with heart rates 55 BPM after the first leg and 60 BPM for the second leg in the 80km ride. All other rides will be 55 BPM.
Early vetting will be allowed at 15 minutes – but be aware you only have one chance at vetting so if your horses heart rate is over it will be a vet out.
Priority will be given to horses that are on their 30 minutes

Intermediate & Introductory riders must either be a member of NSWERA or pay an additional $15.00 to become a day member of NSWERA.

Online Entry via Manehub are MANDATORY, entries will not be accepted on the day.
THE COURSE
The 80km Ride- Leg One - WILL FOLLOW RED AROWS leaving the ride base to the right and onto Mt Lagoon Road and travelling 8kms down to Comleroy Road to a T intersection where you will turn left and travel 2kms along Comleroy Road before turning right in to Gee Arms North Fire Trail, a lovely soft gently undulating track. Travelling to a turnaround point, at which you must collect a peg and return to the checkpoint at Comleroy Road on your return, you will then head right down Comleroy Road to the T intersection of Upper Colo Road, turning left and ride about a kilometre along upper Colo Road to a checkpoint where you will be turned left travelling past the fire station and up Ward's Track to Mountain Lagoon and return to ride base.
80km Ride Leg Two – WILL FOLLOW BLACK ARROWS and will loop Sam’s Way to the left out of the ride base, turning left on to Mt Lagoon Road for a short distance until turning right, into a lovely shady track that will loop around and come back out on the Mt Lagoon Road, turning left you will travel along Mountain Lagoon Road to a checkpoint where you will be turned left down North Wheeny Creek Fire Trail to a turnaround point, at which you must collect a peg and hand to the checkpoint on Mountain Lagoon Road on your return. You will then travel back along Mountain Lagoon Road for 7kms and turn left onto Long Ridge Fire Trail to a turnaround, again collect a peg. You will then travel back through private property coming back on to Sam’s Way and back to ride base. You must hand in your peg at the time-in gate at the ride base.
The 40km Intermediate ride will be following leg two as above FOLLOWING BLACK ARROWS
The 20km Introductory Ride – WILL FOLLOW BLUE ARROWS and is a gentle, undulating ride, following a soft shady track through private property then turning left onto Mountain Lagoon Road until you turn right and travel along Longridge Fire Trail to a turnaround point, at which you must collect a peg. You will then travel back through private property coming back on to Sam’s Way and back to ride base. You must hand in your peg at the time-in gate at the ride base.

RIDE BASE INFORMATION
Sam’s Way, Mountain Lagoon (via Bilpin is and Bells Line of Road) is an easy 14km drive, on almost all sealed road off Bells Line of Road, from the township of Bilpin. The ride base is suitable for all size vehicles with easy access. We DO NOTrecommend accessing the ride base from any other roads apart from Mt Lagoon road, from Bilpin, unless you are familiar with the area.

COVID 19
Covid 19 and public health responsibility will be assessed closer to time. However, it is possible there will be government guidelines to adhere to and health declarations will likely be required.
