Our ride base is situated at the picturesque “Our Retreat" Station near Denison Creek, approximately 60 km southwest of Mackay on the Peak Downs Highway.  The ride base provides spacious bush camping amongst our resident koala’s, with a superb amenities block providing shower and toilet facilities with hot running water.  There are no yards or powered sites available.   Fires are permitted and dogs are to be kept on leash at all times.  Please bring your own drinking water.   A food van will be onsite throughout the weekend with real coffee, bacon and egg sandwiches and steak sandwiches available for purchase.   The Retreat Hotel is also within easy walking distance providing meals, cold drinks and ice.  It is highly recommended to contact Hotel owners Kevin & Kylie to book in advance if meals will be required over the weekend. The ride tracks traverse several working cattle stations and parts of the Epsom State Forest. The course is mostly flat to undulating but does include some hill work in areas but no bitumen road riding.  The lovely Denison Creek winds its way through the course and provides an abundance of water out on track.

Ride base opens midday Friday 21 April with earlier arrivals by prior arrangement only.

Late nomination fees apply for any entries received after Friday 14 April.

Please have all paperwork accurately completed, including ride entry forms, with
10 day temperature logs and Horse Health Declarations to be provided on arrival.

6.00am     - 20km ride start (strict 3 hour max time limit)
7.00am    - 5km ride start
